Happy Thanksgiving Day

Hello!
It has been a fast and very busy fun month.  I have enjoyed the classes with everyone in making all the great items for the upcoming season.  Thanksgiving is around the corner and with that, I always take time to really look over the year and count the blessings I have received.  Wow, I am blessed!!
You are among them.  I am very thankful every time you look at my blog, sign up for a class, and for being a part of my life.  Thank you for being you.

The Holiday Fair was a great success in selling and meeting new people who wanted to join a class and learn how to make paper craft items.  The ornament class has been very popular, with new ideas in using different colors.  That is why getting together is so much fun, we are always learning, sharing and exploring what we love......paper crafting!

My husband has been a good sport in waiting for some time to get out of the house to do what he likes, hiking.  The weather has changed and so many of the hiking trails have closed.  Long walks are now in action.  We went out the other day for a long walk along the waterfront of Tacoma in the rain.  I ended up soaked by at the end of our walk and so we went into the Ram Restuarant to warm up with tea and a bite to eat.  We had a huge wonderful chocolate dessert!  I wonder why I do not lose weight.  Life is grand.

I close this with a Prayer for you and your family.  May you have Love, Peace and Joy on this day with many Blessings to fill your heart with good memories along with a grateful heart.

                                                   Happy Thanksgiving!

A Cut Above the Rest: SU's NEW Paper Trimmer!

Introducing the new and improved Stampin' Trimmer! Although paper trimmers are a common crafting tool, this trimmer was designed exclusively by paper crafters for paper crafters-and because it was made by Stampin' Up!, you know it's a cut above the rest!

If you are like me, I am a visual person, so click here to see a video that introduces you to my new best friend!

Features of the All-New Stampin' Trimmer
  • An extra-wide 6-1/4" cutting base and an extended 14-1/2" ruler
    • The extra-wide cutting base provides a large work area and is marked in 1/4" (4 mm) increments, allowing for small measurements.
    • The right-side grid helps you measure and cut very thin strips.
    • The extended cutting arm has a stabilizing leg to provide a sturdy and steady cutting surface for longer cuts.
    • When fully extended, the extended cutting arm sits flush with the trimmer base, providing more accurate and consistent measurements across the entire surface.
    • The cutting base and track include a full ruler, incorporating measurements down to 1/16" and grid lines that mark each quarter inch.
    • All rulers and measurements on the base are printed under a plastic cover so your measurements won't wear off.
    • The base has nonskid feet, which keeps the Stampin' Trimmer securely in place on your work area.
  • A full 12" cutting and scoring track
    • The extra-long cutting track has space at the top and bottom so you don't have to take the cutting and scoring blades out when you're not using them.
    • The track gives you enough space to cut or score a full 12" (30.5 cm) without having to remove or switch out handles.
    • The cutting track locks in place for secure storage or transport.
    • The track includes an insertion point for cutting and scoring blade handles so you can easily insert handles into the cutting track.
  • Specially designed handles and cutting track to ensure straight cuts
    • The hook on the scoring and cutting blade handles keeps the handles stable so the cuts are as straight as possible.
    • Handles come in two colors: dark for cutting, light for scoring.
    • The precision tip on the cutting blade allows you to pinpoint precisely where you're cutting.
    • The point on the side of each handle shows you where the blade will cut, making it easy to see exactly where your cuts and scores will begin.
  • Storage compartment under base
    • The storage compartment holds scoring and cutting tools such as a Bone Folder, Simply Scored Stylus, extra scoring and cutting blades, and even business cards.
    • Separate compartments within the storage compartment keep your tools organized, and the clear cover makes it easy to see what you've stored.
  • Product details: item 126889; $29.95

The Happiest Place on Earth

My trip to Disneyland in October was awesome from the time we left until the time we returned, with warm days, lots of smiles, singing, eating, treats and hugging throughout the days.  I was truly in the "Happiest Place on Earth."  My husband and I were a big surprise to the grandchildren, since they didn't know we were going to join them.  It was funny to see their faces when we said, "Hi."  What joy it is to have little ones love you so much.

Two of the four grandchildren were very brave this trip and rode most of the rides.  I love the excitement and trust they put in me.  My favorite ride was the new Cars.  It took three times of standing in line for 2 hours to finally get on the ride because it kept breaking down.  When we finally got on the ride, it was so fun that it was well worth the wait!

In addition to visiting Disneyland, my husband and I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary.  We were married in southern California so we spent some time visiting some of our favorite places.  The beach is one of my most favorite places where I spent a lot of free time when I was younger and have so many good memories.  We splurged and ate special treats (such as frozen bananas) that we cannot get anything as good as them anywhere else.  We visited the church we were married in and down the street we saw our first apartment after our graduation from college.  I guess you could say we had a fabulous week.

I have some pictures to share with you.  I hope you can see some of the relaxing and humorous moments.

Me with the grandsons and Pluto.  My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter was a bit scared to be too close to the characters.
