Fall is in the Air

The weather is changing, letting us know that the Fall Season is around the corner.

I love the fall colors and made a couple of cards for some of my classes this next week.

With the Fall Season approaching and school begins next week, Granma's Camp ended last night.
My grandchildren gave me a great memory gift they helped make, as a Thank You for a fun summer.
To explain what Granma Camp is about, I had the grandchildren over every Thursday for the day and night during this past summer.  We had lots of fun playing in the backyard, especially the slip and slide, doing different craft projects and going on a few field trips.  Yesterday day, because of the rain, we went bowling and McDonalds for lunch.  For dinner all the moms and dads surprised us with pizza!  I will miss our time together, but look forward to all the school activities and sport events.  I am blessed!!

Fright Night Blog Hop

Hi!  I hope you enjoy the Blog Hop.  

Trick or Treat, which one do I want, the Bat asked?   The bat has until October 31st to decide.  To make your card before October 31st, you just have to click below on the  "Here", to order the materials.  Below, I have listed the supplies you will need.
Stamp set:  Tags for You, wood 131820, clear131823
Card Stock:  Basic Black 121045, Very Vanilla 101650, Whisper White 100730, Pumpkin Pie 105117,   
Designer Series Paper:  Witches' Brew 132185
Ink:  Stazon Black 101408
Punches:  Owl Punch 118074, Label Bracket Punch 132153  
Accessories:  uni-ball Signo Gen Pen 105021,
The technique used for this card is called:  Sunburst.
To make the Sunburst, cut 3 strips of DSP (Designer Series Paper)each measuring 4 x 1 1/2.

You cut the strip, by putting it in you paper trimmer with the top left corner on the cutting track and the bottom right corner on the cutting track as in the above picture.

Take the 3 strips and line them up on the card stock, starting in the middle working your way to the left and then work on the right side.  As you can see in the picture, the strips are extended beyond the card stock.  Take the whole card stock and flip it to the back and cut off the extra DSP for a clean finish edge.  I hope this will help in making your card.

Carol won Prize Patrol! We loved getting free products. Celebrating Stampin Up's 25th Celebration. We love you Stampin Up!! We were glad Colleen joined us for the event. At the end of convention, Carol and I got together with some of the demonstrators we meet last year, to have a fun dinner before we all hit the road for home.

 WOW! CONVETION 2013!!!

6000 Demonstrators gathered in Utah, to celebrate 25 years of Stampin Up! 

The StampinUp Convention memories will be enjoyed and remembered throughout the year.

The theme of the convention was BE the DIFFERENCE.

We heard the theme song and enjoyed the fireworks, which set the scene of the celebration.

During convention, we learned about the new products, business hints, swapped cards with fellow demonstrators to get ideas for future classes in making cards, holiday banners, treat favors and other paper craft  projects.  It is always amazing how new ideas keep developing! 

Below are two cards I made to swap at convention.  It is always fun to exchange swaps and meet other great fellow demonstrators.  If you want to join me next year, you can join my team and share the excitement of discovering your talents and creativity in the stamping world, along with enjoying the fun get away time at convention and meeting new friends.

 

 

These cards were made for two organized swaps.
The left one is a Monochromatic card using a returning stamp set:  Mixed Bunch.
The card on the right was made for a Make N Take class, featuring a new stamp set:  Polka-Dot-Pieces, in the SU 2013-2014 catalog.

Below on the left is a card featuring a new stamp set:  Gifts of Kindness.  The card on the right was for a Spanish swap, also featuring a new stamp set:  The Flower Shop.
