It's a Man Thing Blog Hop

It's a Man Thing Blog Hop!  Welcome to our blog hop and enjoy seeing the new stamp sets and accessories from Stampin' Up.  Below is my card share.  Hope you like it.  After reading about it be sure to click on the next button to view the other blogs.

The men sometimes get overlooked with all our flower cards and so this blog is all about the 'males', especially those in our personal life.  Father's Day is coming up but we have  birthdays to celebrate in June , so I made this birthday card to share with you.  I might use this card as a Stampin' Up convention swap.  I used a mix of stamps from the new and old catalog.  Of course the old catalog stamps I used here, are current in the new catalog.  I love it when they are carried over.  I don't like to give up items.

The base of the card is one of our new colors in the '2014-16 In Color' group called 'Lost Lagoon" (#133679).  The second layer is 'Baked Brown Sugar' (#131296),and the third layer is 'Very Vanilla' (#101650).  I stamped the 'Dictionary' stamp (wood #130348/clear#130351) on the very vanilla card stock with the baked brown sugar ink, followed with the globe stamp from the brand new stamp set  'Traveler' (134513) in the lost lagoon ink.  The large banner is cut from the 'Banner' framelits (#132173)  on the new 'Lullaby Designer Series Paper' (133695).  Seems funny to use a designer paper with the name lullaby.  The other two small banners were punched with the 'Banner Punch' (133519).  The center stamp, from the 'Starburst Sayings' set (wood #133182/clear #133185),  was stamped in the the lost lagoon ink and cut with the 'Starburst Framelits Die' (9132967).   The last stamp 'Happy Birthday Wishes' is from the 'Petite Pairs' (wood # 128706/clear #122497) on the very vanilla and backed up with baked brown sugar card stock punched with the 'Extra Large Oval' (#119859).  All the pieces were sponged with the baked brown sugar ink.
Hope you have a new catalog and are marking the items you want/need to get for your future projects.  You can order online by clicking Here.

The New Stampin' Up Catalog Starts Today!!!

We can finally order from the new Stampin' Up catalog!  It is awesome to look through and lots of good kits to help you plan for your events.  Please let me know if you need a catalog by email.  If you want to order, please click Here and have fun.  You do have to wait till 'Noon' mountain time, to place your order but after that 24/7 is open!!

Here are a couple of cards I made using some of the new stamp sets and products.

I used the new Stampin' Blendabilities on this new stamp:  Blended Bloom.  Lots of fun blending the colors.  Stampin' Up made it easy for us to blend because the markers are sold in a set of three colors.  Attend a class and I will teach you how to use the markers.

I used the new stamp set:  'Something for Baby', along with the new Baby's First framelit.
I will use this card, as a swap for the Stampin' Up convention, in July.

This is another card using the stamp set mentioned above.  Of course this one is for a boy!

Hope you have a great day.  I can't wait to order some more items from the new catalog. I look forward to my classes using the new stamp sets and accessories.
Heart to You,
Olivia
