Sharing good News.

I am excited to share with you that I am now selling my cards at a local store, Branches Garden Center,  in the Auburn, WA area.  I will be changing my blog's name from Olivia Loves to Stamps to Expressions by Olivia.  I am so surprised that this has all come about.  I was asked over a month ago if I sold my cards and I said I wanted to. I am thankful to my dear friend, Lorraine, who introduced me to her friend and owner of Branches.  This gives me a great opportunity to grow in the art field and be more known.   Stay tune for further news, which  I will share with you at the end of the month.
I would like to share a couple of cards I submitted to the store.

Hope you have a great day.  Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog.
Heart to You,
Olivia

Thankful for.... Candy Treat Holder

Today I have a candy treat project to show you.  This treat card has been around for a couple of years but I still like to make some for the Christmas Holiday Fair, I am taking part in this next month.  I used all Stampin Up products, except for the candy container, which I bought at a local store.  Below the measurements are on the card if you are interested in making one.  If you can't see the numbers, here they are:  Cut the card stock 4"x 8", score at 3 5/8", 4 3/8", and 5".  You have 3 score lines, fold on the middle one and cut from the fold to the next score line 1 1/2" from the top and cut again at 2 1/2" from the top.  Add the sticky strip between the middle and third fold, above and below the cuts.  Remove the red top layer of the sticky strip and fold  the card.  Pull out the center part and now you have a pocket for the candy container to slide in.  Hopefully the pictures below will help you see the steps.  If you are interested in ordering the products, you will need to order:  3 card stocks, Very Vanilla 101650, Early Espresso 119686, and Pumpkin Pie 105117;  Ink, Early Espresso 126974 and So Saffron 126957;  Stamp sets, Harvest of Thanks, wood 131736 or clear 131739 and Truly Grateful, wood 131730 or clear 131733.  Both stamps sets are in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The ribbon is 1/8" Early Espresso Taffeta 119959.  By clicking Here , you can order online at my Stampin Up store.

Thank You for visiting my blog.  Hope you have a great day.

Gently Falling

Hello, I hope you are enjoying the seasonal changes.  I love to watch the leaves changing colors and falling on the ground.  Two cards below are stamped with the stamp set: Gently Falling.  This has become one of my favorite stamps sets.  So many possibilities in using this set. The card below, I sponge on the whisper white card stock with Pear Pizzazz and Marina Mist.  I stamped the leaves in Tangerine Tango and embossed the veins and words with Early Espresso embossing powder.  On the inside I sponged and stamped the veins.

The next card below has the same base but I embossed the leaves with Tangerine Tango embossing powder.

My last project for today is a pumpkin treat holder.  I used the Magnificent Maple stamp for the leaf from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I mention in the last blog I would show you a wreath I have been working on.  Life gives us many    surprises and so I did not have time to finish the project, and can't show it to you yet!

If you are interested in buying the above products I mention, you can order them online by clicking      here.

A thought for the week:  Attitude is a Little Thing That Makes a Big Difference.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you had a great Sunday and a good week.

October Blog Hop

  • Welcome to our second "Blog Hop"!  For those of you who are not aware, a group of my demonstrator friends decided to start a Blog Hop last month, September.  We will do a new Blog Hop each month, so make  sure you check in with us.  Most of us have never been in a blog hop before and are excited to share with all of you.  If you find mistakes, please forgive us and enjoy the idea we are always learning throughout our lifetime, which is half the fun in the journey of life.
  • Below is my share of the Blog Hop.  Have fun viewing my creations and then click on the next blog picture to enjoy all the talented  creations made by some great demonstrators sharing what they love, Stamping!!
  •

My Night Stampers made this fall card the first week of the month of August.  I showed them the technique in inking the embossing folder (to color the strips) before they ran it through the Big Shot machine.  I love sharing the different ways to use the Stampin Up products to stretch their $ investment.

I showed this card and the brayer technique at a class I had in September.  There several steps to make this card, but my customers were surprise how easy and fast it was to make this card.

This is a different look to this technique.  I love how you can change the card by just adding a stamp.  There are so many possibilities to change or add to this card for a different look.  I am always challenged in making decisions in picking the final materials for the finish look.

This is a good card for an introducing class in stamping 101 class.  I will be teaching a class at the community center this next month and I think I will have the students make this card because it is an easy and quick card to make.  I love the fall season and all the colors we see in the leaves on the trees around us.  Red and Yellow are my favorite colors and so it is easy for me to use them in the creation.

I hope you like the above cards.  Check back this week to see my Fall Banner and Wreath.
By clicking the Blog Hop picture Next below, you will see the other demonstrators ideas.  I always like to see what Sherry, Debra and Nichole will share, as well as the other demonstrators on the  hop.
See you soon and have a great day in your life.  Remember, we can change situations by the way we think and act.
