November Holiday Blog Hop

Good Morning and Happy Blog Hop Visit!
Today you will see lots of good ideas for the up coming Holiday events.  I hope you enjoy visiting my blog and the other blogs listed below.
I would like to share some of the cards I have made for the Christmas Holiday Fairs I am taking part in this year.  I am doing three fairs and really have had fun making different items to sell.  Tomorrow, I will share some of the other items I have made for the fairs, so please check back.
My first card, is a Christmas card using the Stampin Up's new 'Festive Flurry Stamp Set'.  By adding a few additional accessories I was able to enhance the card for a decorative effect.

For the next card I use the 'Festive Flurry Framelits Dies' to die cut the snow flakes for a 3D effect.
The card below is simple and quick.  This card is good for making several at one time in a short period of time. I used the 'Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack' found in the mini Catalog.
The snowman card is made by using framelits dies, punches, embossing folders and stamp sets.
I used the 'Washi Tape' for making the card below.  The tape, which is very popular this year, is easy and fun to use.  If you have not tried using the tape, I encourage you to order some for those quick and easy cards you will need to make this Christmas season.
If you wish to order any supplies for making your cards and any other decoration items, please click Hereto order.  Have fun making your creative projects.

October Blog Hop

  • Welcome to our second "Blog Hop"!  For those of you who are not aware, a group of my demonstrator friends decided to start a Blog Hop last month, September.  We will do a new Blog Hop each month, so make  sure you check in with us.  Most of us have never been in a blog hop before and are excited to share with all of you.  If you find mistakes, please forgive us and enjoy the idea we are always learning throughout our lifetime, which is half the fun in the journey of life.
  • Below is my share of the Blog Hop.  Have fun viewing my creations and then click on the next blog picture to enjoy all the talented  creations made by some great demonstrators sharing what they love, Stamping!!
  •

My Night Stampers made this fall card the first week of the month of August.  I showed them the technique in inking the embossing folder (to color the strips) before they ran it through the Big Shot machine.  I love sharing the different ways to use the Stampin Up products to stretch their $ investment.

I showed this card and the brayer technique at a class I had in September.  There several steps to make this card, but my customers were surprise how easy and fast it was to make this card.

This is a different look to this technique.  I love how you can change the card by just adding a stamp.  There are so many possibilities to change or add to this card for a different look.  I am always challenged in making decisions in picking the final materials for the finish look.

This is a good card for an introducing class in stamping 101 class.  I will be teaching a class at the community center this next month and I think I will have the students make this card because it is an easy and quick card to make.  I love the fall season and all the colors we see in the leaves on the trees around us.  Red and Yellow are my favorite colors and so it is easy for me to use them in the creation.

I hope you like the above cards.  Check back this week to see my Fall Banner and Wreath.
By clicking the Blog Hop picture Next below, you will see the other demonstrators ideas.  I always like to see what Sherry, Debra and Nichole will share, as well as the other demonstrators on the  hop.
See you soon and have a great day in your life.  Remember, we can change situations by the way we think and act.

Fright Night Blog Hop

Hi!  I hope you enjoy the Blog Hop.

Trick or Treat, which one do I want, the Bat asked?   The bat has until October 31st to decide.  To make your card before October 31st, you just have to click below on the  "Here", to order the materials.  Below, I have listed the supplies you will need.
Stamp set:  Tags for You, wood 131820, clear131823
Card Stock:  Basic Black 121045, Very Vanilla 101650, Whisper White 100730, Pumpkin Pie 105117,
Designer Series Paper:  Witches' Brew 132185
Ink:  Stazon Black 101408
Punches:  Owl Punch 118074, Label Bracket Punch 132153
Accessories:  uni-ball Signo Gen Pen 105021,
The technique used for this card is called:  Sunburst.
To make the Sunburst, cut 3 strips of DSP (Designer Series Paper)each measuring 4 x 1 1/2.

You cut the strip, by putting it in you paper trimmer with the top left corner on the cutting track and the bottom right corner on the cutting track as in the above picture.

The above picture shows the 3 strips of paper with one cut.

The above picture shows the 3 strips cut.

Take the 3 strips and line them up on the card stock, starting in the middle working your way to the left and then work on the right side.  As you can see in the picture, the strips are extended beyond the card stock.  Take the whole card stock and flip it to the back and cut off the extra DSP for a clean finish edge.  I hope this will help in making your card.

I hope you have a fun stamping time, in making your  card.
From the heart,
Olivia
