The Diamond Fold Card makes the cupcake stand out. This Diamond fold is a quick easy card to make. You do need a 12" by 12" sheet of card stock to cut a 4" x 12" strip. From the 12" x 12" sheet you can make three cards! When open, the card can stand on its own to add a special decoration display. I added white card stock on the back panels for a note to be written.
I had fun trying different color combinations to make the frosting for cards. So many possibilities!!

The 12" x 4" strip of card stock is scored at 2", 4", 8", and 10". At the 6" measurement, I marked the top and bottom of the card stock. I then scored from the 6"mark at the top to the bottom 10" score line and then from the 6" mark at the top to the bottom of the 2" score line. This makes the diagonal lines. I repeated for the bottom 6" mark to the top of the 8" & 2" score lines to make the other diagonal lines. Pinch between the 2" & 4" center and the 8" & 10" center pushing the outside panels behind and you have your diamond card.
To make the triangle shapes: Cut a square ( one for each color) 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" and then cut it in half.
Cut in half again
You need 2 large triangles and 4 small triangles of each color. For the center square under the cupcake you need to cut a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 square. I used designer series paper for the small square and two large triangles. The 2 panels on the side of the card measure: 1 3/4" x 5 2/5".
