Spring Flowers and Weekly Deals

We sprung ahead in time this month, does that  mean the time is going around the clock at a faster speed?
I can't believe it is already March 11th!  I love how my days are full, but I also feel I can't do all I want to do.
Well, I will enjoy the ride and take it as it is.  I hope this post finds you in good health and spirit.  Spring is on its way and the weather reminds us of that everyday.  I am looking forward to the warm sunny days.

Today I will share another Easter card.  What I like about this card is the versatility  for any occasion you might need.  A Thank You, Thinking of You or Birthday greeting would go well.  Many of the ladies I stamp with save the greeting stamping until they know how they are going to use the card.  Of course that means they need to have stamps in their possession.  Building a word stamp collection is a good idea.

I used the 'Scallop Tag Topper Fold Technique' in making the card below, using the new tag punch.  This is a popular technique among stampers and I thank the person (whoever you are) for coming up with this idea and sharing it.  I used the stamp set  'Peaceful Petals' from the 'Celebrate The Everyday spring' catalog from Stampin Up.  This card is great for the spring season.

The next card, located below, is another Easter card.  I used an old retired Easter stamp, but you could substitute it with a current stamp.  The flowers are stamped from the 'Flower Shop' stamp set found in the current Stampin Up catalog.  I used the scissors to cut across the top of the flowers.

The picture below shows the inside of the card and how I repeated the same steps from the front of the card.  There are different ways of using the flowers on this card.  I gave the challenge to my stamping ladies yesterday to create their own design using the same materials and technique of stamping and cutting around the flowers.  Everyone came up with a different looking card.  I was proud of them.  It was fun and a great learning lesson on designing a card.

Oh, one more thing I need to share.
Yesterday I mentioned I am teaching classes at Hobby Lobby and my classes are full.  Well, I need to correct that statement.   My Friday night class, March 28th is full but I still have openings for the Thursday class, March 20th (10:00 am - Noon) and the Friday night class, March 14  (5:30 - 7:30) has 2 openings.  So,  if you are interested in taking part in these classes, please call me at 253- 941-8233 or e-mail me ovstudley@yahoo.com .  You need to register for the class (no later than two days before the class meeting) so I can prepare all the materials.  Hope to see you in a class.

I hope you have an enjoyable day.
Heart to You,
Olivia
